THE VAN SCHOUWEN FAMILY
One of my favorite things about photographing families at home is getting to see them comfortable & in their element. There's space to take "the nice pictures" of everyone looking & smiling (hopefully!), but also to be a witness to them doing the things that are everyday and having a chance to capture those fleeting moments. Like, blowing bubbles & playing in the yard... showing me what's growing in their garden... getting a boost from mom on the swingset. Especially during the busy toddler years, it's tough to capture those times -- so, as a lifestyle photographer, I do my best to catch the in-between moments & small details. This family session with the VanSchouwen's was exactly that: a mix of the "nice" shots & the daily moments. I loved spending the afternoon with this crew & am thankful that we're raising our kiddos together!
